About The Position

The Medical Call Center/Front Desk position at Downriver Medical Associates is a full-time role focused on providing excellent customer service in a busy internal medicine practice. Requirements

  • Computer skills (1 year preferred).
  • EPIC EHR experience is a plus.
  • Medical assistant certification/experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Call Center and front desk equipment.
  • Provide prompt and responsive communication between the practice and customers.
  • Assist callers with inquiries, complaints, or problems.
  • Greet patients in a kind and helpful manner.
  • Register patients and verify insurance information.
  • Collect co-payments from patients.
  • Redirect patients to appropriate staff when needed.
  • Assess patient needs based on previous chart notes and direct calls accordingly.
