About The Position
Experienced medical Billing Specialist needed for Multispecialty Surgery practice in Fort Myers. An ideal candidate will be able to identify insurance denials and apply their expertise to do appeals or send corrected claims. The candidate will have knowledge of Modifiers and when to use appropriately. The candidate must be able to read and understand the explanation of benefits (EOB's). This person is well rounded in all aspects of medical billing and coding. An ideal candidate will be able to look up medical policies for individual carriers and apply them when applicable. The candidate will be required to access insurance portals to upload supporting documentation when necessary. The insurance portal will also be used for correcting claims when appropriate. The Medical Billing Specialist may be required to perform other duties requested by the billing manager.
