About The Position

Currently, we are seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist to join our team! Our Medical Billing Specialist/Collector completes all aspects of skilled nursing medical billing and collections for all payers including primary, secondary and tertiary carriers until claims resolution is obtained. He/she will enter correct insurance information as needed on resident accounts and run eligibility, imports facility charges including ancillary charges for Pavilion and Hospice GIP, and bills all skilled nursing claims correctly and timely to all insurance carriers according to billing guidelines set forth by CMS/payer. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of medical billing, billing guidelines, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits. He/she should also have a minimum of two years' experience in medical billing/collections experience including proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 Coding, preferably within a Continuing Care Retirement Community setting. Previous experience with AOD and CPC certification and ICD-10 certification is strongly preferred. Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical billing, billing guidelines, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits
