About The Position

The Medical Billing Specialist position at New Jersey Spine Center is focused on managing billing and coding tasks within the expanding billing department. The role requires expertise in medical billing, coding, and revenue cycle management, particularly with commercial and Medicare claims. The specialist will work under the Practice Manager to ensure accurate billing processes and maintain high-quality standards in financial operations.

Requirements

• Must have billing/coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and Medicare claims.
• Experience in A/R analysis, account auditing, and patient collections.
• Proficient in posting CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis codes.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Working knowledge of report preparation and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with revenue cycle management.
• Familiarity with insurance carriers and designated account types.

Responsibilities

• Manage billing and coding tasks for the practice.
