About The Position

The Medical Billing/Claims/Collections Specialist position involves processing medical billing and claims, handling patient collections, and collaborating with insurance providers. This role is primarily remote after an initial training period, with occasional in-person meetings required. The position is a long-term contract that may lead to permanent employment for the right candidate.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing/Claims/Collections.
• Experience with EHR SYSTEM is a must.
• Proven skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
• Experience in Appeals processing and Authorizations required.
• Understanding and experience in Benefit and Billing Functions.
• Proficiency in Patient Collections is essential.
• Previous remote experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processing medical billing and claims efficiently and accurately.
• Handling patient collections, explaining the billing process to patients when necessary.
• Collaborating with commercial insurance, Medicare, and AHCCS for billing purposes.
• Managing a high volume of work and maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems, such as EHR SYSTEM for various tasks.
• Managing Accounts Receivable (AR) and executing appeals and authorizations as necessary.
• Overseeing benefit and billing functions.
• Ensuring proper follow-up on patient collections.
• Utilizing skills in Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), and EHR SYSTEM to efficiently execute tasks.
