HME Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Cash Posting Specialist to enhance our Medical Billing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that all payments are applied correctly and timely within our billing system. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of medical billing processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Initially, you will receive comprehensive on-site training before transitioning to a remote position. Key responsibilities include posting insurance and patient payments, applying adjustments and denials per EOBs/ERAs, reconciling daily deposits, and resolving discrepancies in payments.

To excel as a Cash Posting Specialist at HME Specialists, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and qualifications. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while an associate degree is preferred. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience in medical billing or cash posting, along with a solid understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and CPT/ICD codes.
Proficiency with billing software and electronic payment systems is essential, as is the ability to perform accurate data entry with a high level of detail. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is vital for managing and analyzing payment data effectively. Excellent organizational skills and adept problem-solving abilities will enable you to navigate discrepancies and streamline processes efficiently.

Requirements
