About The Position

The Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable position is a remote role responsible for reviewing unpaid invoices in the ETM System across various carriers. The role focuses on maintaining accuracy and productivity to ensure effective processing of invoices, while also identifying and addressing potential issues related to unpaid claims.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two years previous medical billing experience preferred with emphasis on research and claim denials in Accounts Receivable
• Demonstrated knowledge of physician billing and health care reimbursement; Medicare and Medicaid preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate; Microsoft Office preferred
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Review ETM worklist to identify potential problem areas
• Contact appropriate carriers to inquire about unpaid claims via websites and/or phone calls
• Review AR trends to report consistent errors affecting claims processing
• Maintain knowledge of the ETM system
• Participate in monthly meetings with No Response/Billing Supervisor
• Communicate with No Response/Billing Supervisor regarding unusual circumstances including adjustments, denials, and claims
• Perform duties as directed by Senior Representative, No Response/Billing Supervisor, and Accounts Receivable Manager
