About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and timely submission of claims to insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment. This is not a remote job.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, DRG (Diagnosis Related Group), and various billing systems is essential.
• Experience working in a medical office setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical collection processes and best practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government payers.
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
• Utilize ICD-9 coding and other medical coding systems to ensure proper billing.
• Manage accounts receivable, including follow-up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain organized medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify patient information and resolve billing issues.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
