About The Position
Medical Offices of Dr. Zahn is a fast-growing medical practice located in San Gabriel, CA, specializing in concierge medicine. We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Biller/Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in medical billing and coding, demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule and requires a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all billing processes. As a Medical Biller/Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing patient records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of charges. This includes verifying patient co-pays and co-insurance to confirm coverage of unpaid balances. You will prepare accurate charges for all medical services rendered, as well as invoices for the collection of past due balances. Additionally, you will review patient accounts to ensure the accuracy of payments and prepare statements based on payments received from insurance companies. In this role, you will also be the point of contact for patient inquiries regarding our billing process. You will answer phone calls and provide clear explanations about billing-related questions, ensuring that patients understand the processes and products available to them. Other related duties may be assigned by your manager as needed, making adaptability and a willingness to learn essential traits for success in this position.
