About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and coding for medical services provided to patients, requiring a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the billing process to facilitate timely payments from insurance companies and patients.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of medical billing, coding, and collections processes.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and office procedures.
• Experience with coding systems such as ICD-10 is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Medical coding is a plus.
• Candidate should have at least 1 year of similar experience and excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with coding systems such as ICD-10 is preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and government payers.
• Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
• Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT for accurate claim submissions.
• Manage accounts receivable, including following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of all billing transactions and communications with payers.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation of services rendered.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
• Assist in the collection of outstanding balances from patients as needed.
