About The Position

We’re currently seeking an experienced Medical Biller who is detail-oriented, proactive, and driven to resolve claims accurately and efficiently. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of medical billing or related healthcare experience required
  • Strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance follow-up
  • Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and phone-based
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems
  • Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Track, follow up, and resolve insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement
  • Actively work unpaid, rejected, or suspended claims and credit balances
  • Research denials and submit appeals with supporting documentation
  • Audit patient accounts to identify and process refunds when appropriate
  • Assist patients with billing questions and insurance-related concerns
  • Identify delinquent accounts and coordinate with collections staff as needed
  • Stay current on insurance policy updates and communicate changes to relevant teams
  • Work claims through practice management systems, clearinghouses, and carrier edits
  • Collaborate with fellow account representatives to balance workloads and meet deadlines
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient and financial information
  • Complete required compliance education and ongoing training
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
