About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to support billing and revenue cycle operations for a healthcare organization. This role focuses on accurate claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up to ensure timely reimbursement. The Medical Biller is responsible for preparing and submitting medical claims, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical billing experience
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with insurance plans (Medi-Cal, Medicare, commercial)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Current TB clearance
Nice To Haves
- Medical Billing or Coding certification
- Experience with EHR or billing software
- Community health or FQHC experience
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Responsibilities
- Submit medical claims to insurance carriers accurately and timely
- Review and resolve claim denials and rejections
- Post payments and adjustments
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits as needed
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and payer guidelines
- Support month-end reporting and billing audits
