About The Position
Kansas City Allergy and Asthma Associates is looking for a Medical Biller to join our practice to assist our team in managing healthcare claims and patient accounts throughout the revenue cycle. This is an excellent role for individuals looking to continue their career by gaining valuable billing experience in a specialty medical clinic. KCAA has been serving the Greater Kansas City Area since 1979. We're proud to be Kansas City's premier caregivers and researchers for allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases. Starting wage range: $18 - $22 per hour with quarterly bonus opportunities and hybrid work options following completion of the training period. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least one year of relevant experience and/or billing training in a medical office
- Previous experience in roles requiring critical thinking and time management
Nice To Haves
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Desire to communicate with patients in-person and over the phone reviewing claim information and providing education.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the billing team on common tasks
- Collect and post patient and insurance payments
- Resolve denied claims and actively manage claims throughout the appeals process
