About The Position
Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we will serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units as we continue to open in 2025. We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient’s individual needs, comfort and safety. The Medical Biller/Collector performs a variety of duties to accomplish the billing and collection of all patient accounts including but not limited to:
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two to three years of medical billing/collections experience in a hospital or health care setting required
- Basic computer skills required
- Working knowledge of third-party insurances, billing, and follow-up procedures, admitting, insurance verification and collections required
Responsibilities
- Input insurance information for patient admission
- Produces bills for all third-party insurance/patient accounts
- Reconciles charges
- Input billing data utilizing the hospitals computer system
