As a Medical Benefit Review Services Associate (CAS) in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, or 7, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping disadvantaged and disabled adults access the healthcare services they need to maintain their independence and continue living safely in their homes. This role includes travel within your assigned region to meet with individuals in their communities: Region 1 Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes Region 2 Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana Parishes Region 3 Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Mary, and Terrebonne Parishes Region 4 Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, and Vermilion Parishes Region 7 Bienville, Claiborne, Red River, and Webster Parishes In this role, we will teach you how to: Perform in-home assessments for applicants and participants of long-term personal care services (LT-PCS). Offer choice counseling for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) to those who request it. Provide applicants with an overview of the Long-Term Care Program. Create a Person-Centered Plan of Care that is based on individual needs. Complete client monitoring surveys as part of the quality management process. We will also: Help you get IHC Certified with the LA Department of Health and Hospitals.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in health and human services, social work, sociology, psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate quality communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Show a desire to work with the public.
  • Be a Louisiana resident.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and be able to travel daily within your assigned region.

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience in health-related social and/or human services.
  • Have experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities.
