Requirements

• Possess a minimum of a master's degree in an allied healthcare field.
• Be credentialed in good standing in medical assisting, CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) Certification required.
• Have medical or allied health education or training.
• Have experience related to the profession of medical assisting.
• Have documented education in instructional methodology.

Responsibilities

• Administration, organization, supervision of the Medical Assistant program.
• Continuous quality review and improvement of the program.
• Academic oversight, including curriculum planning and development, and outcomes.
• Select and approve appropriate practicum sites. Coordinate the assignment of students to sites.
• Ensure documentation of the evaluation and progression of practicum performance.
• Ensure orientation to the program's requirements of the personnel who supervise or instruct students at practicum sites.
