Part-time Medical Assisting Instructor
About The Position
Fortis Institute in Houston North is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Medical Assisting Instructor to join its faculty. This role offers an opportunity to positively impact the lives and careers of students and graduates by providing educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high-demand occupations. The institute aims to lead students to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. The primary responsibility will be to teach Medical Assisting courses.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or a Diploma
- Certifications: RMA and/or CMA and/or CCMA
- At least three years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated, and results-driven

- An associated degree
- Prior higher education/postsecondary teaching experience
