Fortis College in Smyrna, Georgia is seeking an experienced, highly motivated medical assistant professional to join its faculty. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach medical assisting students in our medical assisting program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach medical assisting/medical office administration courses. The typical teaching load is 2 courses each term. Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation.
Requirements
- Certification in Medical Assisting Required
- At least 5 years of industry experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated and results driven
Nice To Haves
- 5 or more years prior teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach medical assisting/medical office administration courses
