About The Position

Esse Health is the largest independent physician practice in the St. Louis Metropolitan area, with over 100+ physicians across 35+ locations, serving nearly 130,000 patients. The organization is seeking talented Medical Assistants for multiple full-time openings at various office locations throughout the St. Louis area. This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. The role primarily involves performing back office functions and assisting healthcare providers in the interviewing, examination, and treatment of patients within outpatient clinical practices.

Requirements

Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

PC/Windows proficiency
Medical coding familiarity
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction
Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments

Responsibilities

Perform back office functions
Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
