About The Position
LifeLong Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Jenkins Family Medicine Residency Program in Richmond, California. This role is integral to our patient-centered care team, which includes a Family Medicine Provider, medical assistants, and auxiliary staff. The Medical Assistant will provide essential support in a teaching health center that delivers urgent and primary care health services to a diverse community. Under the supervision of the Back Office Supervisor and Lead Medical Assistant, the Medical Assistant will assist medical providers by performing a variety of clerical and clinical tasks, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient care. In this full-time position, the Medical Assistant will work 40 hours per week and must be bilingual in English and Spanish. The role involves collaborating with family medicine residents, faculty, and specialty providers to enhance the learning environment and improve patient outcomes. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient information, managing patient flow, and performing clinical tasks such as administering vaccines, conducting basic lab tests, and assisting with patient education. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW, and salaries and benefits are determined by a collective bargaining agreement.
