About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist provider in performing office examinations and procedures.
  • Organize and manage clinic patient flow.
  • Gather and document patient screening data.
  • Perform in-office diagnostic testing (e.g., X-rays, EKGs).
  • Assist with patient and family education.
  • Clean rooms and instruments.
  • Order and distribute supplies.
  • Schedule appointments and testing, triage phone calls and emails, handle physician correspondence, and manage insurance referrals.
  • Use current technology to pull patients from waiting rooms to exam areas.
  • Proactively communicate delays to patients and regulate patient flow/check-in as per protocol.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior in all settings visible to patients and visitors.
  • Gather screening and other data for the healthcare team.
  • Accompany patients/families to exam rooms and prepare them for examination.
  • Perform diagnostic testing (e.g., spirometry).
  • Work with MD/provider to maintain efficient clinic flow; check schedules and organize patient flow.
  • Assist MD/provider with routine office procedures and document vital signs.
  • Maintain patient charts and other care documents.
  • Distribute patient family education material as directed by clinical staff.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement through data collection.
