About The Position
Desert Ridge Family Physicians is a premiere Family Practice office located in Northeast Phoenix, near the intersection of the 51 and 101. We have a patient-centered philosophy, and partner with our patients to achieve optimal health. We are seeking an experienced, bilingual Medical Assistant to join our clinical staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the smooth operation of our practice and the care of our patients. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care and a commitment to providing excellent service. As a Medical Assistant, you will be involved in rooming patients, taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing routine lab tests such as venipuncture, spirometry, and EKGs. You will also assist with referrals, scanning, and other administrative tasks as needed. Communication is key in this role, as you will be interacting with patients both on the phone and via email, ensuring that their needs are met and that they feel supported throughout their visit. Qualified applicants must be reliable, well-organized, and a team player. A minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in a back-office setting is required, along with proficiency in medical terminology, medications, and EMR software. Experience in family practice is a plus, as is familiarity with Athenahealth. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are handled with professionalism and care.
