About The Position
The Medical Assistant at Montage Medical Group plays a crucial role in supporting the examination and treatment of patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. This position involves a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a timely manner. The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for evaluations, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records. They assist physicians during examinations and treatments, conduct various medical procedures, and ensure that treatment rooms are well-prepared and stocked with necessary supplies. In addition to clinical duties, the Medical Assistant is tasked with performing administrative functions such as answering phones, managing patient flow, and assisting with clerical tasks. They must demonstrate effective communication skills, particularly when interacting with vulnerable patient populations, and maintain a high standard of patient confidentiality and care. The role requires adherence to established protocols and standing orders, as well as the ability to work autonomously while being accountable for patient outcomes. The Medical Assistant must also be proactive in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, restocking supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is properly sterilized. They are expected to follow evidence-based practices in patient care, including motivational interviewing and self-management support.
