About The Position

The position involves maintaining an organizational system to ensure the smooth flow of patients in a clinical setting, specifically in outpatient care. The role includes providing basic direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level provider, adhering to established procedures and regulatory requirements. The individual will assist in patient assessments, maintain medical records, and facilitate patient access to resources, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.
• One year of previous emergency department experience, nursing school student, or CNA preferred and/or equivalent required.
• Computer skills and working knowledge of programs preferred.
• Above average typing skills and ability to use information systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a community health center setting.
• Knowledge in the use of select clinical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and collects vital signs, chief complaints, and medical/social history.
• Breaks down, cleans, and sets up exam rooms to ensure consistent patient flow.
• Assists with the clinical inventory process.
• Delivers direct care and comfort care to meet patient needs.
• Maintains accurate medical records by filing reports with Medent (EMR) and ensuring document completeness.
• Facilitates coordination for patient access to resources.
• Follows through with patient lab orders, including phlebotomy, point of care testing, EKG, and specimen collection.
• Conducts PAM assessments for all Medicaid patients and enters assessments into the data system.

Benefits

• Salary range of $17.25 - $26.65 based on experience and qualifications.
