Job Summary: Under the supervision of the acting physician, our Medical Assistants work in conjunction with staff and physicians to support the delivery of patient care second to none! The Medical Assistant will take vital signs, assist the provider with our interview and care processes, treatments, delivery and transport of each patient, as directed by the physician. The Medical Assistant thrives in a fast-paced, team oriented environment with professionals in neurology, pain management, chiropractic, podiatry and many more. This position is cross-trained in all clinical administrative processes, therefore the MA will also answer phones, obtain prior insurance authorizations, perform patient reminder calls, and enter information into the EMR. The Medical Assistant is required to maintain patient and hospital confidentiality at all times. Requirements

• Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent required.
• Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 90 days of employment
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive
• Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
• Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degrees strongly preferred in the areas related to Healthcare and Biology
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA desired
• Previous experience and familiarity with EMRs is preferred

Responsibilities

• Screen patients while performing and recording vital signs
• Perform data entry through Electronic Medical Record system
• Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality
• Disinfect and clean room after each patient
• Explains treatment to patients as needed
• Change sutures and dressings as needed
• Assists physician during exam
• Answer phone calls in a friendly manner and acts as operator for the Hospital
• Greets and interacts with patients in a friendly and polite manner
• Other Administrative duties as needed such as register patients and schedule appointments
• Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner
• Adheres to Jcaho hospital standards and PolicyStat policies
• Monitors supplies and inventory as needed
• Other duties as assigned
