Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for an Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility to float to multiple locations; Texas Medical Center, Memorial City, Clear Lake, Katy, and Spring Woodlands, Texas. Schedule: Per diem; schedule varies as needed; weekday and weekend availability. In this role, the Medical Assistant will:
Requirements
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Completion of a formal MA program
- Strong patient orientation and be a team player
- Professionalism and strong customer service skills is a must
Nice To Haves
- Background in women's health preferred
Responsibilities
- High volume of phlebotomy
- Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
- Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
- Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
- Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
- Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedure
- Assist with HSGs as needed
- Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
- Assists with the clinical care of fertility patients
- Provides patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructions
- Provides pre and post op education
- Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ families
- Works independently to assure the program goals are achieved
- Support and promote excellence in customer service
- Administrative tasks, prior authorizations, etc.
