Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-3 years of experience in a medical setting preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong data entry skills

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistance Certification or Degree in the Sciences preferred
• CPR/BLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients promptly and professionally
• Assisting patients with the registration process including but not limited to assistance with collecting required patient information, medical history, relevant documents, and electronic signatures
• Preparing the patient for the exam by performing preliminary tests, as needed
• Reporting relevant information to the provider
• Assisting the provider with patient care as requested
• Performing scribe duties, as needed
• Reviewing treatment procedures with patients
• Assisting in ordering tests/retrieving results
• Reviewing discharge instructions
• Bracing & brace measurements under the supervision of a licensed professional
• Collecting any patient payments and scheduling follow up appointments, if required
• Balancing and closing a journal each day, when applicable
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality and complies with HIPAA standards
• Other responsibilities as needed
