About The Position

Medical Assistant – Full Time Missouri Cancer Associates – Columbia, Missouri Missouri Cancer Associates (MCA) is a highly regarded multi‑specialty practice providing comprehensive cancer treatment services across ten Missouri communities. Our team includes 22 providers specializing in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and urology, with our main office located in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 40 years, MCA has been the premier Cancer Treatment Center in Mid‑Missouri, driven by advanced medical technology, experienced clinicians, and a strong commitment to exceptional patient care. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and team‑oriented Medical Assistant to join our fast‑paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates an outgoing demeanor, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively. Attendance and reliability are essential. While customer service experience is preferred, MCA is willing to train the right individual who embodies our values and consistently provides outstanding patient care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Current CPR certification required or acquired within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care in a clinical setting under direct supervision.
  • Promote efficient patient flow for exams and procedures.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, treatment areas, and physician offices.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates before each visit.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and manage supply inventory.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
  • Provide delegated patient education, including distributing materials.
  • Maintain room disinfection protocols.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
