About The Position

A Medical Assistant performs administrative and certain clinical duties under direction of a physician. Status: Full Time, 36 hours per week What you will need: High School diploma or equivalent. Formal Medical Assistant training. Current BLS certification. RMA or CMA; current credential or licensure within 3 months of employment. What you will do: Perform patient in-take: vital signs, medical histories, update active medication list, verify information updated in electronic medical record. Perform EKG’s when ordered. Prepare patients for examination. Prepare equipment and rooms for exams and procedures. Draw blood, culture specimen collection, and perform routine urine tests. Complete lab requisitions.
