The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative / operational / customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments. Responsible for decisions focusing on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. CenterWell Medical Assistants work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, while working under minimal direction.
