About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, patient‑focused Medical Assistant with a strong interest in Allergy and Immunology care. In this role, you will support physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients with allergic rhinitis, sinus disease, asthma, food allergies, eczema, and related conditions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical environment where accuracy and patient education are essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.).
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with patients of all ages.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Allergy/Immunology, ENT, primary care, or similar clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of immunotherapy, allergic disease basics, and emergency response protocols (e.g., anaphylaxis management).
  • Compassionate, patient-centered care approach
  • High attention to detail, especially when mixing serums and documenting doses
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong teamwork with providers, and administrative staff
  • Comfort working with needles, injections, and allergy-related procedures

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients; obtain and document vital signs, medical history, allergy symptoms, and medication usage.
  • Assist with allergy testing procedures, including: Skin prick testing Intradermal testing Pulmonary function testing (if applicable)
  • Administer allergy immunotherapy injections following established protocols.
  • Monitor patients post‑injection for adverse reactions and provide immediate support if needed.
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as scribing, preparing exam rooms, and restocking supplies.
  • Prepare and mix allergy serums accurately and safely under provider supervision.
  • Manage and track allergy vials, expiration dates, orders, and patient dosing schedules.
  • Provide clear patient instructions regarding allergy shot schedules, medication use, avoidance measures, and follow‑up care.
  • Support providers during in-office procedures, including nasal endoscopy or ENT‑related evaluations if part of the clinic scope.
  • Document all clinical interactions in the EMR with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance requirements for allergy testing and treatment.
  • Assist with telephone triage, including symptom-based questions, refill requests, and scheduling needs.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic safety standards.
