About The Position

Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and Logan Health MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and works collaboratively with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and other department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Requirements

  • Credentialed—Holding a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) credential.
  • CPR certification, familiarity with anatomical, lab, and regulatory knowledge is a plus.
  • Soft Skills—Compassion, attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication are essential to connect with and support patients and team effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Experience—Urgency and confidence come from prior clinical experience in OB/GYN or women's health.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, prepare, and room patients—collecting medical history and vital signs to set the tone for a smooth visit.
  • Prepare exam rooms and necessary supplies—ensuring efficiency and a calm environment for both patient and provider.
  • Assist with minor procedures—such as suture/staple removal, dressing applications, reproductive health procedures—within your scope.
  • Draw lab specimens, conduct point-of-care testing, and accurately update patient charts and records.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support—handling referrals, authorizations, appointment confirmations, and billing assistance.
