This position is responsible for assisting providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care. Responsibilities include EKGs, finger sticks, pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vitals, scanning and downloading of documents, telephone screening (with protocols), and other duties as assigned based on respective clinic need. This position must have excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. This position may float as needed to other clinic practices in metro and outreach location. May participate in mentoring or precepting new employees as needed. This position will be based at the South location but will travel to outreach clinics on a regular basis. Shifts are four, 10-hour shifts per week with a rotating day off. No weekends, major holidays or on call.

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA, NRCMA, RMA, CCMA)
  • BLS Certification required
