As a Medical Assistant, you will support providers and ensure patients receive excellent care during their visit.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (MA, CNA, EMT, LPN) or equivalent experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong computer skills
  • Some Medical Assistant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • 1–3 years of clinical experience
  • Experience with Athenahealth EMR
  • Experience in OBGYN, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and perform patient intake
  • Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
  • Update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures
  • Perform point-of-care testing within scope of certification
  • Maintain exam rooms and medical supplies
  • Clean and disinfect treatment rooms after visits
  • Manage provider voicemail and EMR inbox messages
  • Support pre-visit planning and patient flow
  • Assist front desk with check-in, scheduling, and phones as needed
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and clinical protocols
  • Assist with in-office procedures
  • Contact Hospitals and gather required documentation when needed
