Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.
• Newly hired team members with a minimum of 24 months of Medical Assistant experience in the last 36 months AND worked under the direction of a licensed health care professional that did not graduate from certain Medical Assistant programs qualify for this order entry recognition.
• A letter of attestation is required to apply for this recognition, therefore after 6 months of employment with OHH and proven knowledge in specific required areas according to the Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (“ABR-OE”) program, this letter can be provided.
• Completion of this order entry competence program will be required within 60 days of meeting the qualifications.
• If a new team member is hired with no Medical Assistant experience, then they will complete the competence within 60 days after obtaining the 24 months of required Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director, Clinic Director or Supervising RN assist with daily clinic patient care such as patient flow
• taking patients history and vitals
• assisting with diagnostic testing maintenance of medical supplies and other duties as assigned
