About The Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operation of the medical office and provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record vital signs accurately.
- Gather comprehensive patient history during visits.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Complete insurance verification and related forms.
- Document medical information and patient encounters thoroughly.
- Answer phone calls and assist patients and staff professionally.
- Restock office and medical room supplies to maintain readiness.
- Communicate effectively with other medical offices and healthcare providers.
- Send medication refill requests to providers promptly.
