About The Position
The Medical Assistant, as directed by physician(s) and advanced practitioner(s), performs patient care activities and provides related services necessary for the personal needs and comfort of clinic patients. Freeman Health System is a locally owned, not-for-profit health system in Joplin, Missouri, comprising a 460-bed, three-hospital system (Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital) and Ozark Center, the area’s largest provider of behavioral health services. It also includes two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics, and various specialty services, serving over 450,000 people across Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration

- Performs patient care activities as directed by physician(s) and advanced practitioner(s)
- Provides related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of clinic patients
