We have PRN Medical Assistant positions open. This position will support clinical and non-clinical job responsibilities, as needed. This is a Monday to Friday daylight position, no nights or weekends. We have offices in Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and Sarasota. Position Summary: Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for preforming a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs, venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State. Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record I accordance with MPA guideline. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients Assists in covering front desk as required General medical procedures Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Travels to and works at other facilities are requested Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS.
