About The Position

Sentara Martha Jefferson Ortho Pantops Office is now hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant in Charlottesville, VA! Hours: Monday-Friday, Dayshift. NO NIGHTS, HOLIDAYS or WEEKENDS! Offering a Sign-On Bonus up to 5K for Qualified Medical Assistants! Overview Perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
BLS is required within 90 days of hire
1 year of clinical or administrative experience

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform patient care

Delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
