Beavercreek Commons Family Practice, like all Providence Medical Group primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care. This is a very busy location.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA compliance
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments
  • Ability to draw blood
  • High level of professionalism
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate from a Medical Assisting Program
  • Certification/Registration from an Accredited Board preferred or a minimum of 1 year experience and the ability to obtain certification or registration.

Nice To Haves

  • Athena experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
  • Complete patient interview and history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider.
  • May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
  • Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
  • Administer vaccines as directed by provider.
  • Manage a high volume of patient requests.
  • Administrative/clerical duties as required.
  • Travel between locations may be required.
