About The Position

Saint Luke’s Health System Nuerosurgery Clinics are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to be an integral part of our provider team that delivers high quality patient-centered medical care to our community. This position is responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice. This position is located at the Plaza (KC, MO) and is full time Monday-Friday, with no holidays or weekends. Some travel to the Lees Summit campus is required. Specific duties include · Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor. · Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals · Phlebotomy · Administer injections and coordinate vaccines · Assist providers with procedures · Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents · Conduct telephone screening (with protocols) · Cover front office responsibilities as needed Saint Luke’s Multispecialty Clinics bring together the best of Saint Luke’s convenience, accessibility, and the highest-quality of care by housing many specialty practices and medical services together in one location to serve the community. We are looking for this Certified Medical Assistant position to join our team to provide excellent patient care and a seamless patient experience. No experience as a Medical Assistant or not been through an MA Program? Look no further – we provide training and support to help you succeed. The Medical Assistant Program allows participants to learn about a variety of Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics. The 10-week paid program will offer a comprehensive review of body systems including pharmacology, medical terminology, lab values and BLS certification. Medical Assistants in training will also be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture with an emphasis on customer service and patient safety. Paid 10-week Medical Assistant Training Cohort Program Next session starts on June 1. Schedule Week 1-5: In class didactic content Week 5-8: Clinicals with instructor Week 9-10: Home clinic orientation with Success Coach

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year Applicable Experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Medical Assistant (Certified) - Various
  • None - Medical Assistant
