About The Position
Department: 01150 AMG Park Ridge 1775 Ballard MOB - Geriatrics Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Hours for MA position: Monday - Friday: 8:30a - 5p including Tuesday/Thursday: rotating evenings until 6:30p Saturday: 8a-12p every other month The department includes 2 Geriatricians and 4 Internal Medicine providers. This position requires working in a dual role as a medical assistant. This involves both rooming practices (taking vital signs, doing in-office procedures) and working to complete messages involving medication refills, medication prior authorizations, calling patients to discuss their test results, completing forms, etc. in-person interviews preferred Pay Range $22.90 - $34.35 MUST have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
- MUST have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy skills, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
