About The Position

The Medical Assistant (MA) role at Fusion Sleep is for a caring medical professional dedicated to helping patients achieve healthier lives. Fusion Sleep is an accredited, independent medical practice focused 100% on sleep medicine, with board-certified physicians specializing in disease prevention and management. The MA is responsible for documenting medical history, taking patient vital signs, ensuring proper data and labs are available for physicians, preparing exam rooms, and coordinating efficient patient flow. Additionally, the MA provides patient education regarding equipment fittings and supply needs, offering best practice solutions. The ideal candidate is service-minded, confident, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant required
• Minimum of six months experience in fast-paced health care setting
• EMR system experience required
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strict attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving skills and a desire to acquire new skills
• Possess the ability to collaborate in a team environment or work independently
• Comfortable working with various software applications at one time

Nice To Haves

• Sleep Medicine or Respiratory Care experience preferred
• Care Cloud Practice Management preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with physician and patients needs
• Retrieving compliance data from various sources
• Processing prescription refill requests
• Responding to patient emails and calls
• Accurately documenting system tasks pending and completed
• Responsible for completing daily patient intake and triage for both in-clinic and telemedicine patients.
• Actively participates in corporate innovation, change management and identification and implementation of industry best practices.
