About The Position
Medical Assistant - Part Time - Pediatrics After Hours - Rancho Bernardo Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: One year MA experience in an outpatient setting Pediatric experience Experience with injections and vaccines Experience with PPD (tuberculin) placement This is a benefited, part time position (40 hours every 2 weeks) generally working weekdays from 4-8pm and weekends from 8am-4pm on varied days. Patients ranging from infants to 21 years old Weekends & holidays required on a rotating basis Seeking dependable, self-motivated team players What you'll do: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, covid swabbing, and providing patient education Wide variety of acute care patients #LI-EE1
Requirements
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
