Requirements

• High school diploma
• Completed a Medical Assistant Program or have the equivalent experience of 3 years as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
• Tactful and diplomatic interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally resolve conflict
• Adaptability to changing environments as assistance in other offices may be required
• Ability to work effectively and thrive in a team-based setting

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Experience in public contact job, preferably in healthcare setting
• One year experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office workflow
• Working knowledge of Epic EMR system and common Windows software applications
• Knowledge of standard precautions, safe workplace, and confidentiality methods & more!

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, take vitals, and perform initial intake regarding reason for visit
• Confirm history, medications, and update the electronic medical record as appropriate
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures
• Communicate testing results with patients as directed by providers
• Run point of care testing, help collect and organize samples to be sent to the laboratory
• Help coordinate care in terms of responding to patient calls, scheduling appointments, and communicating with other offices as needed
• Ensure patient care rooms are neat and stocked with essential supplies for the day
• Help maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff
• Make meaningful connections and make a difference to the people in our community!
