About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our women’s health practice in Rockville, MD. The ideal candidate will be passionate about women’s health, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma
  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of an accredited program resulting in a certificate or associate degree in Medical Assisting
  • Experience: Prior healthcare experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Commute: Ability to reliably commute to Rockville, MD.
  • Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of OB/GYN experience.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Assist providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, and performing tasks such as specimen collection, injections
  • Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule appointments, answer phones, verify insurance, and support front office operations.
  • Patient Flow: Manage patient rooming, communicate wait times, and ensure smooth clinic flow.
  • Patient Education: Provide instructions on medications, treatment plans, and health conditions as directed.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to provide seamless, patient-centered care.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
  • Inventory & Equipment: Monitor, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
