Requirements
- License(s): Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking
- Medical Office Experience preferred
- Allscripts PM/EMR knowledge preferred
- Surgical scheduling experience preferred
- Experience completing prior authorizations preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients by reviewing patient medical history and taking vitals
- Completes prior authorizations for medications and radiological testing
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician and Nurse Practitioner
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Document patient information utilizing electronic medical records
- Assists in scheduling patient appointments and surgical scheduling
- Follow the guidelines of HIPAA in maintaining patient confidentiality
- Perform additional administrative duties and projects as needed
