About The Position

Pain & Spine Institute (PSI) is a multidisciplinary pain practice serving Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicago area. Our physicians specialize in interventional pain techniques, including diagnostic nerve blocks, spinal injections, implantable neuromodulation, and regenerative therapies. As a Medical Assistant at PSI, you’ll support clinical workflows and daily operations — assisting providers during procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Your role helps maintain safe, timely, and efficient patient care.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience
1 year of EMR experience

Medical Assistant Certification
Certified Medical Assistant License
Pain management experience

Responsibilities

Record patient histories, vitals, test results, and clinical data while maintaining confidentiality.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and instruments for visits and procedures.
Assist practitioners during procedures and support patients before, during, and after treatment.
Prepare, order, and administer medications under physician supervision.
Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
Manage phones, scheduling, patient check-ins, and documentation.
Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulations.
Complete mandatory annual training and assist with additional duties as assigned.
