About The Position

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you willbe responsible forproviding administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of a primary care clinic. You will support the doctors, physician assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management,organizationand communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality andin a timely manner. You must be adaptable and willing to fill in different administrative roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Registered Medical Assistant Certification and current BLS/CPR certification required
• 3 years experience as Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant preferred
• Travel to clinics in Reno, Carson City Fernley and surrounding areas required
• Versed in medical office procedures, front office/administrative expertise
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office, and minor database retrieval
• Ability to learn and become proficient in multiple EMR’s
• Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and ability to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and effectively
• Chronic Disease management, understanding of HEDIS, preventative health measures, and experience working with a Geriatric Population
