The Medical Assistant receives patients at the time of visit and supports the physicians and nurses in the delivery of health care to patients by performing a variety of medically-related tasks to ensure smooth patient flow. Key responsibilities include reception duties, administrative and clerical support, such as registration, discharge, and scheduling, and assistance with patient procedures. Performs urine and alcohol collection in accordance with Federal guidelines. DOT COC Urine Collector Certification required within 1 year from date of hire. The medical assistant will also be cross-trained on a variety of other office procedures so as to provide backup and flexibility
